What are the responsibilities and job description for the Haul Truck Operator position at Capital Paving & Construction Llc?
Capital Paving and Construction is seeking an experienced haul truck driver for projects in Central Arkansas. This individual will be responsible for driving a haul truck to move dirt and rock and other company vehicles as needed such as dump trucks and water trucks. Some prior experience driving in a construction setting is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure a safe work environment while maintaining compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Driver will be assigned loads, report as directed to job site, and complete a work order daily for that job
- Driver is expected to perform daily truck inspections
- Maintain truck logs or time recordings
- Load and secure equipment, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- CDL is a plus
- Clean driving records
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
- Previous experience driving a heavy haul and dump truck.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels
- Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
- Willing to travel/work out of town
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
