Western Regional Sales Manager - Capital Pump & Equipment

As the Western Regional Sales Manager for Capital Pump & Equipment, you will play a pivotal role in driving rental and rental services revenue growth targets at the existing branches and new branches in the Western region. In this role you will be responsible for planning, oversight, development, and achievement of sales targets for the Company's Western Region, including overall sales strategy to meet revenue growth objectives and the Company's branch expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, budgeting, and achievement of the Western Region's overall annual revenue / sales goals (rental, services and equipment sales).
- Branch sales support activities to include account development, customer visits, proposal and bid development. Building relationships with branch teams is important. Frequent In-person presence at the branches and within CPE regions is expected.
- Managing, training, and supporting field sales team in conjunction with Branch Manager to achieve branch and regional sales goals.
- Assist in recruiting salespeople as needed throughout the region.
- Responsible for development and implementation of strategic sales plan by branch with the senior management team and branch managers. including targeted revenue by customer, revenue quotas by Outside Sales Rep, role and sales involvement for the Branch Manager, and role and sales activities of the Internal Sales Reps (inside sales calls, more senior ISR ridealongs with salespeople, etc).
- Coordinate and/or attend key customer events, trade shows, CPE customer events/open houses at the branches and CPE headquarters (with Senior Management involvement).
- Attend meetings and present sales results to CPE management as required.
- Conduct regular sales meetings with branch managers and salespeople within the region. Initially every 1-2 weeks, then monthly after the first 4 months.
- Build corporate level relationships with decision makers at key customer accounts. Conduct regular sales calls to gain knowledge of revenue potential from each customer and work collaboratively with CPE sales and operations management toward increasing share of wallet.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5 years' experience in special equipment rental for industrial or construction applications; fluid handling industry experience is a plus
- 2 years' experience in Sales Management
- Must live or relocate to Region and be able to travel 70% of the time
- Proven consultative sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to create and present reports, contracts, and strategic plans.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma required; a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
