The Commission directs the growth, operation and business activities of RIC and works tirelessly to ensure it continues to be an affordable option for local, regional, and out-of-state travelers.
Description of Responsibilities: Responds or assists in responding to repair calls for any building maintenance (i.e. plumbing, roof leaks, doors, and related calls). Maintains or assists in repairing building walls, doors, roofing systems, interior wall and flooring finishes. Assist in the repair and maintenance of all automatic entrance and roll-up doors at the various Commission buildings on a regular basis to ensure continuous proper operation.
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings and schematics of structural and mechanical systems at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school. Electrical experience in installation and maintenance desirable.
- Knowledge of installation and maintenance knowledge of carpentry, plumbing maintenance, floor and ceiling systems, roofing systems, painting, masonry and concrete.
- Ability to read and comprehend building blueprints and drawings, specifically architectural and structural.
- Ability to operate all tools involved in general building maintenance.
- Knowledge of the various structural and mechanical systems within commercial buildings.
