Description of responsibilities:
Maintain PADEP and EPA Compliance requirements for Public Drinking Water System
Run weekly coliform samples
Maintain laboratory accreditation
Submit reports to governing agencies
Respond to water quality concerns and complaints
Required experience:
Two (2) years of experience in water quality monitoring and analysis.
Three (3) years of experience in water treatment or any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Required skills:
Thorough understanding of PADEP and EPA regulations for public drinking water
Thorough knowledge of laboratory accreditation requirements and processes
Thorough knowledge of water quality sampling and testing protocols
Advanced knowledge of data management systems for compliance reporting
Thorough knowledge of lead service line inventory methods and regulations
Strong analytical skills for water quality testing and data analysis
Effective communication skills to interact with consumers, staff, and regulatory agencies
Required Education:
B.S. degree in microbiology, biology or related field, including successful completion of at least one college-level environmental microbiology laboratory course.
