Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and monitor compliance with state, federal, and organizational pharmacy regulations and policies.
- Ensure proper storage and security of medications, including controlled substances.
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
- Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and address any performance or disciplinary issues.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members for professional growth.
Customer and Patient Care
- Provide expert advice and counseling to patients regarding their medications, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Ensure a high level of customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving complaints promptly. Proactively resolve any potential medication adherence issues.
