Location: Hybrid (Local to NYC area)
Position Summary:
The Benefits Administration & Operations Coordinator will provide administrative and logistical support to the Benefits Administration and Operations team, focusing on tracking and coordinating ongoing benefit tasks. The role will involve organizing and monitoring project timelines, assisting with documentation, facilitating communication across teams, and ensuring that all benefit requests and updates are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This role is primarily internal support but does have limited client-facing needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist with tracking the status of ongoing benefit configuration projects across all lines of Business
Coordinate timelines and ensure that project milestones are met for new implementations, benefit changes and audits
Monitoring the progress of benefit-related requests and updates, escalating issues to senior team members as needed
Serve as a point of contact between Benefit Operations and other internal teams (Product/Dev, Clinical, and Account management) to ensure smooth communication and project updates and that all team members are aligned on deliverables and timelines
Assist in organizing the documentation and tracking of new benefit implementations and updates to existing plans
Assist in preparing reports, status updates for internal stakeholders, audit results and testing outcomes ensuring that information is accurate and up to date
Assist in preparing and sending updates to clients regarding benefit inquiries as directed by senior team members
Assist in organizing training sessions or documentation ensuring that all resources are up to date
Help track training materials and assist in disseminating new information or process updates to relevant stakeholders
Monitor adherence to SLAs and quality standards, alerting team members to potential delays or issues
Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance
Required Qualifications:
At least 3 years of PBM / health plan experience in administrative, coordination roles, or other applicable department needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Salesforce, Jira, or similar platforms)
Tremendous attention to detail, ability to shift priorities easily, and ability to work in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to act as a liaison between different teams to ensure smooth coordination
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple responsibilities at once
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with product/dev teams and familiarity with Agile
Medicare and government programs experience
Experience in benefits configuration, benefits testing, or claims monitoring
Project management experience
Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
