Delivery Driver

We have a great opportunity for a delivery driver to join our team at Capital Sanitary in Omaha. We're a large distributor of janitorial supplies and equipment. Our drivers have new 26’ box trucks, are home every night, and are eligible for quarterly bonuses. This position works Monday through Friday with a 7:00 am start. Join our team!

***Previous 26' box truck driving experience is required for this position. Candidates do not need a CDL.***

Job tasks include:

• Able to follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Perform inspections of vehicle prior to and following each trip
• Assist in assembly and fulfillment of orders to be shipped to customers
• Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
• Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods from truck at selected destinations
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
• Safely operate necessary equipment in work area, including forklift and/or pallet jack
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required safety and DOT certifications
• Wear proper safety equipment
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Job requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred but not necessary
• Must be able to pass a background check with clean driving record
• Prior experience driving large commercial truck required
• 1-2 years previous commercial delivery experience required
• Pre-trip/post-trip DOT inspection experience preferred
• 1-2 years previous warehouse and distribution experience preferred
• Previous pallet jack and forklift experience preferred
• Able to regularly move/lift up to 50 lbs and load/unload heavy cargo
• Strong time management, customer service, and communication skills
• Dependable and reliable work habits
