What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Investigator position at Capital Tax Recovery?
CTR provides tax compliance services to CT municipalities. We are seeking a detail oriented individual to fill a part-time investigative research position.
Job responsibilities include:
- Identify and investigate motor vehicles and their registered owners for potential tax liability
- Conduct motor vehicle registration searches to determine vehicle ownership
- Conduct proprietary database searches and various internet research to determine the vehicle owner's and/or operator's current address
- Save all relevant data to the case folder
- Input the case data to an excel spreadsheet
- Explain relevant tax laws to potential taxpayers
Required Skills:
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking
- Experience with proprietary database platforms such as CLEAR, IRB, TLO, etc.
- Experience locating individuals current address
- Must be detail oriented, a self starter, and able to work independently
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (mainly excel) and Adobe
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
- Proficient in Excel
