Capital Technology Resources (CTR) is currently looking for an Associate Engineer - Test, for the Vehicle Measurements Group (VMG) on the proving ground in Yucca, AZ. The Engineer will be responsible for on track vehicle measurements and data acquisition in support of prototype product and systems engineering.
Associate Engineer Key Deliverables
This Engineering position will be held accountable for delivering the following:
- Execute technically meaningful tests on motorcycles and their components utilizing data acquisition equipment and methods
- Compile, analyze, and report test results to engineering in a timely manner
- Collaborate with engineers, technical specialists, mechanics and riders, as needed to ensure the best results for the product
- Deliver test and lab goals while demonstrating Fairness and Honesty in all interactions with a Positive attitude and while finding Creative solutions in their work.
Job Responsibilities
- Use existing test procedures and practices to solve standard problems, analyze information, meet deadlines, and make judgments with guidance and direction from more senior level roles in the execution of meaningful technical tests on motorcycles.
- Compile, analyze, and report test results to engineering in a timely manner with guidance and direction from more senior level roles.
- Execute tests and provide high quality test data through detailed understanding of transducer designs, calibration, limitations, and their appropriate usage.
Job Requirements
This is an entry level engineering position and would involve test activities such as, but not limited to:
- Data Acquisition Systems and Techniques.
- Test Instrumentation
- Analysis of Test Results to Provide Decision Ready Information
- Regulatory/Homologation Testing
- Any experience in these areas would be considered a plus.
Relevant Experience
- Analysis of test results to provide decision ready information
- Customer Correlated Duty Cycle Development (Creation, Road Profiling, Test Course Development)
- Customer Correlation Data Acquisition
- Data acquisition systems and techniques
- Environmental Exposure Testing (Solar Exposure, Corrosion, Rain)
- Failure Analysis and Reporting (including TIS and/or advanced techniques)
- Large Scale Full Vehicle Test Event Coordination
- Reliability Analyses
- Test Development & Execution (development, durability, and certification)
- Test Instrumentation
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Techniques and Equipment
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other related technical degree or Professional Engineer license. This is an entry-level position.
