Responsibilities:
- Prepares, posts, verifies and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable including ACH payments and checks.
- Creates invoices and monthly billing statements and submits to customers.
- Maintains and updates customer files to ensure accuracy, including name or address changes as well as contact information such as email addresses.
- Collaborates with Credit Manager to identify customer discrepancies and past-due accounts to communicate to customers in order to collect payments.
- Maintains accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
- Troubleshoots the reconciliation of account balances and payments, and contacts customers to obtain missing information or verify unusual data or payments received.
- Backs up accounts payable as needed.

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Keyboard skills & knowledge of office machines – fax, printer, copier, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as other accounting software programs
- Possess good mathematical capabilities
- Demonstrates good reasoning, logic and problem solving skills
- Ability to analyze data and report outcomes
- Ability to research, understand and process information easily
- Works with accuracy to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Be flexible, able to work with little supervision, be a self-starter yet able to work on a team, and take pride in completing assignments achieving a positive outcome for the customer
