Capital University's School of Management and Leadership is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position to teach in the newly established Sport Business major, commencing August 2025. This full-time, term instructor position is nine months in length and annually renewable with the potential to transition to tenure-track position dependent on student enrollment in the sport business program.
The School of Management and Leadership is one of largest academic unit at Capital University, offering undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Sport Business, and Marketing, along with several business-related minors. Additionally, the School offers a longstanding MBA program.
The successful candidate will teach a range of Sport Business courses within the COSMA core, including but not limited to special topics, critical issues in sport, sport business introduction, and facility and stadium operations. Opportunities to teach in the MBA program or general business courses may also be available. The candidate will also serve as an advisor and mentor to undergraduate Sport Business majors and minors, providing guidance on academic planning, career development, and industry engagement.

Qualifications :
- Doctorate in Sport Business, Sport Management, or a closely related business discipline from an ACBSP- or AACSB-accredited program (preference for candidates from COSMA-accredited programs). An MBA is also preferred.
- Proven excellence in university-level teaching with expertise across sport business disciplines and a record of scholarly or professional achievement.
- Executive-level experience in the sport industry, demonstrating leadership, strategic business expertise, and a track record of success.
- Commitment to project-based learning, with the ability to leverage industry connections to facilitate live-client projects, experiential learning trips, and guest lectures.
