Job Description:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Open workstation and clinical area DRESS CODE: Scrubs, preferably Navy Blue COMPUTER SOFTWARE: Health Management System (HMS), Microsoft Office EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have Medical Assistant Certification CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting * Knowledge of basic medical terminology
* Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
* Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing * Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history * Ability to keep accurate records * Distribute prescribed medications * Effective communication skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- phlebotomy administering IM and Subcutaneous injections: 1 year (Preferred)
- Ability to speak English & communicate effectively: 2 years (Preferred)
- medical assistant in a clinical setting: 1 year (Preferred)
- completed and passed a medical assistant program: 1 year (Preferred)
- Skilled at taking and reading accurate blood pressures: 1 year (Preferred)
- distributing prescribed medications to patients: 1 year (Preferred)
- interviewing patients to obtain complete medical histories: 1 year (Preferred)
