Position Overview
The technical services intern will support various aspects of technical services, including product testing, data analysis, and customer support. This individual will also assist the lab with mortar cube mixes, concrete mixes, and a variety of aggregate material testing. This internship offers valuable exposure to the cement and aggregates industry and an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)
- Learns and applies testing methods, procedures, and equipment under the guidance of the technical staff.
- Prepares material in the lab for testing.
- Runs tests in the lab.
- Provides support to technical services staff in responding to customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and addressing technical concerns.
- Assists with maintaining accurate records of laboratory testing and technical support interactions.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times.
- Responsible for abiding by and support all company and plant safety policies, rules, and procedures as well as M.S.H.A. regulations.

Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficient use of computer and software programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Education & Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program in CIM, Materials Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering or related field.
Other Qualifications
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Must possess excellent organization, planning and time management skills.
- Must communicate effectively using appropriate interpersonal skills.
- Must supervisor own work and be self-motivated.
