Job Responsibilities
- Ownership and oversight of accounting operations, including managing the accounting team and relevant processes (including financial reports and budgets)
- Assist management with critical financial decisions
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, forecasts, and statements to assess the company's financial health
- Monitor financial reports and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Stay up to date on financial market trends to maximize profits and explore new expansion areas, especially in government contracting
- Ensure the company meets legal financial requirements and maintains a good financial standing.
- Assist with financial audits
- Bachelor's degree required
- CPA certification required
- 7 years of accounting experience required
- 2 years of people management experience required
- Experience in both corporate and public accounting preferred
- Government contracting experience preferred
- Attention to detail required
- Effective communication skills to discuss financial matters with co-workers and management and justify financial recommendations required
- Strong organizational and project management skills required
