Key Responsibilities
Inspection and Verification :
Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Verify measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Perform first article inspections and document results for approval. Documentation :
Record and maintain inspection results, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective materials or products. Ensure all documentation aligns with quality assurance protocols and customer requirements. Collaboration :
Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to supervisors and production teams.
Work closely with the engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Compliance and Safety :
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all company quality assurance standards.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S program initiatives to maintain an organized and efficient work environment. Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required : High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred : Certification in quality control or inspection, such as ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector). 2–5 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Strong understanding of inspection techniques and measurement tools. Experience with ERP systems and maintaining quality records. Soft Skills
Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mathematical and Reasoning Abilities
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical data. Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel tools and materials. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment
