About the Role
Capitol City Produce is seeking a Retail Support Specialist to drive sales and ensure high-quality produce in Rouses supermarkets. This role is perfect for a results-driven professional with experience in supermarket operations, merchandising, and category management. You’ll work closely with corporate and store leaders to enhance product displays, pricing strategies, and customer experiences across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
🛒 Retail Execution & Merchandising:
- Build relationships with corporate leaders, regional managers, and store teams.
- Support grand openings, major resets, product launches, and promotional events.
- Conduct market price checks and competitor research to maintain competitive pricing.
- Identify new product opportunities and make recommendations to drive sales.
📦 Quality Control & Inventory Management:
- Perform “meet the truck” audits to verify quality and order accuracy.
- Work closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure consistent product quality.
- Analyze store credits and sales data to identify areas for improvement.
📈 Business Growth & Communication:
- Contribute to quarterly Business Review Meetings with corporate leadership.
- Provide timely updates and insights to internal teams using FreshTech CRM.
- Travel regularly to retail locations to ensure execution of best-in-class merchandising.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience: Minimum 3 years in retail, supermarkets, merchandising, or produce sales.
✔ Education: High School Diploma required; college degree or specialist training preferred.
✔ Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
✔ Mindset: Ability to work independently, execute with urgency, and adapt quickly.
✔ Travel: Must have a reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
