What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Training Supervisor position at Capitol City Produce?
Come Grow Your Career With Us! Capitol City Produce is adding a NEW position to our Operations team. We need a talented Training Supervisor to oversee the training and development of new and incumbent order selectors and to oversee the work of our trainers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of CCP’s selector training program and materials, assess the effectiveness of training materials, and modify the training program as needed to improve training outcomes.
- Monitor employee performance, and work closely in collaboration with managers and team leads to identify training needs and provide solutions.
- Supervise and coach trainers who are responsible for helping new and existing warehouse employees learn how to select and pack customer orders while following company safety and food safety procedures
- Uphold and foster the company’s core values of integrity, team, quality and customer service.
- Build relationships with leadership, trainers, and new and existing order selectors while helping the team to meet key performance indicators that align with strategic objectives.
- Maintain accurate training records for employees, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and reducing costs.
- Regularly update training materials to reflect changes in safety regulations, equipment use and processes.
- Conduct periodic refresher training for employees to enhance performance and compliance with safety procedures.
- Provide one-on-one or group coaching sessions to ensure understanding of company processes and procedures and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare regular reports for upper management on training outcomes, employee progress and any issues requiring attention.
- Understand, adhere to and enforce corporate policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) Programs and other related guidelines.
- Ensure that all training follows OSHA safety guidelines and company-specific safety policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher preferred
- 5 years of experience in warehouse operations or training, ideally in a selector position or a similar role
- Previous supervisor or training experience preferred, including stand-up classroom training and one-on-one technical training
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, including order picking, inventory control and logistics
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- People leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and engage employees while maintaining a positive and productive work environment
- Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic office software
- Demonstrated knowledge of increased complexity such as working in another functional or technical area, significant project assignments, job rotation, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Food Safety Programs
