Role
The Managing Director, Wealth Management will lead and grow our wealth management practice. This includes developing and implementing strategies to grow the division’s client base, increase assets under management, and drive revenue growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Set the vision, strategy, and objectives for the wealth management division in alignment with the firm’s overall mission and growth goals.
- Oversee the development and implementation of best-in-class wealth management practices, solutions, and processes.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of wealth advisors, portfolio managers, and client service professionals.
- Foster a performance-driven culture with emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Client Relationship Management
- o Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, ensuring the highest levels of service and satisfaction.
- o Oversee the delivery of customized financial strategies, investment solutions, and estate planning services.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities for market expansion, new product offerings, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive revenue growth through client acquisition, cross-selling initiatives, and deepening existing client relationships.
Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Implement risk management strategies to protect client assets and the firm’s reputation.
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage division budgets, forecasts, and reporting, ensuring alignment with the firm’s financial targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Marketing) to optimize workflow and resources.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience
- 10 years of progressive experience in wealth management, private banking, or investment advisory services.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving significant revenue growth.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Industry certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP®, CIMA®) are highly valued.
Skills
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio management strategies, and estate planning.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in wealth management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirement
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Regular in-office attendance required.
