Capitol House Nursing and Rehabilitation is hiring PRN Respiratory Therapists (RT) for the following shifts:
- 3p-11p
- 7p-7a
- 11p-7a
Requirements:
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including 12 hour shifts
- Patient care oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude
Duties:
- Provide general respiratory therapeutic services including oxygen, medical gas, and humidification and suction therapies.
- Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records.
- Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers
- Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy
- Exhibits commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements
- Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed
