Job Summary:
The Director of Business Development for Radiology & Imaging, Corpus Christi, Texas is responsible for managing the business development process with a variety of referral sources in the market to make professional presentations and generate volumes for various imaging modalities.
General Responsibilities:
· Manage the business development process by visiting a variety of referral sources in the market to make professional presentations and generate volumes for various imaging modalities. Visits may be both scheduled and cold calls to also introduce technical applications and equipment. Must be willing to plan and/or attend after-hours events on nights and weekends.
· Utilize strategic and conceptual selling skills to maximize potential from referral source relationships.
· Analyze local market demographics to help support the development of new referrals and annual business plans.
· Plan and develop new programs/services in conjunction with appropriate staff, and based on market intelligence, monitor program performance to measure projected outcomes/ROI. Report on progress as directed.
· Develop business development strategies in line with company objectives to foster growth and expand market presence in diagnostic imaging services.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as medical providers, healthcare facilities, attorneys, and industry contacts to drive business opportunities.
· Support Management and Sales teams in reestablishing RICC’s reputation in the market.
· Collaborate with the VP of Operations to identify and execute new business ventures, including establishing relationships with attorneys and overseeing the Letter of Protection (LOP) process.
· Provide leadership, guidance, and continuous feedback to the sales team to foster professional development and enhance their sales skills.
· Conduct industry research to identify market needs, trends, and competitive insights, utilizing findings to formulate effective sales strategies and solutions.
· Supervise the creation and implementation of marketing plans aimed at effectively promoting the company’s diagnostic imaging services.
· Identify investment opportunities based on market feedback and strategize spending to ensure a positive return on investment for operational initiatives.
· Assist sales specialists in implementing and rolling out new platforms or tools within the market, offering guidance and support as necessary, such as the Royal portal.
· Identify opportunities for partnerships with entities providing pre-employment MRI referrals, expanding RICC’s client base and service offerings.
· Identify collaborative opportunities within the market, exploring potential partnerships, alliances, or joint ventures aligned with the company's operational goals and growth strategies.
· Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to generate reports and input accurate records of interactions with referring offices, ensuring data integrity and relationship management.
· Assist sales specialists with the clean-up and maintenance of the CRM database to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness for effective utilization by sales and operational teams.
· Monitor and evaluate the productivity and performance of sales specialists, providing metrics and insights for continuous improvement.
· Generate comprehensive reports using CRM data for sales specialists, highlighting metrics such as new referring offices, referral trends, and top referring sources, enabling informed sales strategies and business development initiatives.
Requirements:
· 7 years in a business development/sales role, diagnostic imaging experience strongly preferred (similar industry required)
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience with a contact management system preferred.
· Must be proficient at analyzing sales reports.
· Ability to multi-task during the day as well as establish long-term relationships with referral office personnel.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred or three years of documented experience in healthcare sales.
· Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus in the market, but not necessary.
