We currently have an opening for a Paramedic/EMT - Full-Time at our Houston MRI Cypress location.

Job Summary:
Responsible for monitoring patients in the case of a contrast reaction, starting IV’s in CT and MRI
department, screening and preparing patients for their procedures.
Essential Job Functions
1. Perform IV’s and set up the power injector in the CT department.
2. Perform contrast injections in the MRI department.
3. Perform Patient Coordinator duties as assigned by Center Manager or Regional Director.
4. Welcome and escort patients to and from the lobbies, dressing rooms, explain procedures and answer
patient questions.
5. Assist CT and MRI Techs in taking patient histories, and screening patients for their procedures.
6. Assist CT and MRI Techs with patient positioning in the exam rooms as needed.
7. Assist with burning patient CDs as needed.
8. Assist with the workflow of technologist paperwork between the front office and the technologists as
needed.
9. Monitor patients during the procedures.
10. Administer medications in case of a reaction to contrast.
11. Assist in the proper screening of patients or anyone going in to the MRI Room.
12. Practice infectious control procedures and ensure overall safety practices at all times.
13. Track, and maintain contrast related medical supplies. Report approaching expiration dates, and the
need to order supplies, etc.
14. Stock and maintain linens properly.
15. Keep up with and ensure own work schedule.
16. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
17. Perform other duties as assigned including administrative backup and support.
18. Oversee and ensure the proper performance and collection of each center’s monthly Paramedic
inventory of supplies.

Educational and Skills Requirements
1. 2 years experience as an EMT- Paramedic
2. CPR license
3. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical office practices and procedures, and out-patient imaging.
4. Current registration and licensure as required.
5. Proficient in the use of office computer systems directly related to the job function.
6. Ability to multi-task and remain detailed and organized.
7. Ability to communicate and respond to questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
9. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
