Patient Care Coordinator Job Description
The patient care coordinator for Louisiana PET/CT Imaging of Lake Charles is responsible for providing a welcoming and compassionate environment for all patients. The patient care coordinator must be an upbeat, detail oriented, courteous individual.
The patient care coordinator must be able to:
· Work accurately and efficiently
· Have computer knowledge
· Excellent telephone and office etiquette
· Be fluent in Medical Terminology
· Ability to multi-task
· Ability to operate Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Etc.)
Duties Include:
· Assure the readiness and tidiness of the front desk reception area for each working day.
· Greet and check in patients and collect personal, medical, and insurance information.
· Assist patients in completing any registration paperwork.
· Being efficient in verifying insurance benefits and patient billing information.
· Schedule, reschedule, and verify patient appointments.
· Performs general clerical, scanning, and paperwork for upcoming patients.
· Schedule patient appointments
· Respond promptly to medical records requests and subpoenas
· Answering Phones
· Respect and maintain Privacy and dignity of patients per HIPPA guidelines
