Refund-Payment Processor

Description

Our billing office seeks a Payment Poster to post payments and follow reconciliation processes. In this role, you will manually and electronically process and post a high volume of billing payments while updating account adjustments and maintaining balances on deposit log.

Our ideal candidate has at least three years of experience working with remittance processing, or in a similar medical billing or customer service role.

Knowledge of posting payments and processing refunds in a healthcare setting and familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time, The work hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Job Duties

• Processes daily payment files.
• Corrects errors in remittance work queues.
• Reviews and resolves reconciliation issues.
• Interprets remit codes to properly posts payments.
• Assess explanation of benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies
• Identifies trends and reports to leadership.
• Assess explanation of benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies
• Reviews information from payers regarding refunds and recoups.
• Process insurance credit card payments and post patient payments along with refunds
• And other payment posting duties as assigned

Payment Poster Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Ability to process a high volume of work
• Knowledge and understanding of EOBs
• Data entry and typing skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Excell experience is a requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.69 - $21.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
