We currently have an opening for a Part Time Ultrasound Technologist for our Imaging Center of Columbus location.

- Demonstrates proficiency in the operation and proper handling of all diagnostic equipment.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and utilization of proper positioning, protocol and techniques to obtain a quality diagnostic image. Identifies normal anatomy and/or unusual findings.
- Ensures that the equipment rooms are kept clean and properly stocked at all times.
- Maintains adequate knowledge of all computer systems utilized within their work environment such as RIS, PACS, etc.
- Reviews prior studies and reports that correlate with the current examination to ensure that special attention are paid to the area of interest in question.
- Consults with a radiologist regarding suspicious findings prior to releasing the patient so that a determination can be made as to whether or not additional testing is needed.
- Maintains communication and collaboration with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Licensed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- RDMS RVT preferred
- Breast Imaging and Ultrasound guided biopsy experience preferred
- Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions
- Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience required in ultrasound and related testing and Quality Control in ultrasound
- Multi-modality is a plus
- Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
- Excellent communications skills
- Flexibility in scheduling
