Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Temporary Building Substitute teacher will facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students by creating a flexible, safe and culturally responsive learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals as determined by the superintendent of schools.
The Substitute will have some knowledge of current teaching methods, be able to communicate effectively and maintain collaborative working relationships with others in the hopes of making a difference in the education of our students. The hours are from 8 : 30AM until 3 : 45PM.
Bachelor's degree and CT certification preferred but not required. Experience in a middle school and / or high school setting also preferred.
