Provide on-site and help desk support for hardware, software and networking technical support to CREC schools, programs and member districts.
Perform job tasks as specified for a CREC Technician with a higher level of proficiency and independence.
Manage user accounts including creating, updating, deleting, administering permissions and access rights.
Install, modify, and make repairs to computer hardware and software systems.
Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices as needed.
Performs administration of cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure, and Google Workspace.
Perform backups as needed. Monitors backups regularly.
Provide support to the network administrators by being able to backup/restore files on the network, shutdown and/or reboot servers in the correct sequence in case of need, perform basic administration tasks on user accounts while maintaining data integrity and network security.
Perform basic network administration and maintenance tasks.
Tests compatibility of programs with existing hardware and software.
Provide mentoring and stewardship for CREC Technicians.
Resolve tickets representing staff-generated technical requests of problems and troubleshoots technical and process issues.
Assist end-users in learning how to improve their use of systems.
Consults with users to help identify requirements for hardware and software purchases. Guides users on how to order technology equipment. May research and provide quotes for technology items as directed by the IT manager.
Maximizes computer systems capabilities by studying technical applications.
Keeps abreast of technical advancements by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and utilizing internal training resources, as well as obtaining industry recognized certifications.
Utilize exceptional customer service and communication skills both verbally and in writing, with the ability to cultivate professional partnerships and inspire team collaboration.
Thorough knowledge of a broad range of computer-related technology and practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
