Job Summary
The Safety Specialist will be responsible for overseeing safety compliance and risk management at construction sites. This role involves ensuring adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and implementing safety protocols to mitigate risks.
Duties
- Implement and maintain safety programs in accordance with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees
- Investigate accidents or incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with construction management teams to address safety concerns
- Utilize construction management software to track safety data and generate reports
- Monitor and enforce compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) or construction safety
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations
- Familiarity with risk management principles
- Certification in OSHA standards is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
