What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/LPN position at Capitol View Transitional Care Center?
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a RN/LPN your patient to nursing staff ratio is three times lower than the average nursing home. In this role you will be responsible for the following job duties:
- Provide direct care to patients by providing ADLs, accessing physical and mental status of patient to determine efficacy of treatment and care plan, administer medication complete all documentation, etc.
- Prepare room preparation and room discharge of patients.
- Answer call lights and provide follow-up to ensure needs are met.
- Answer questions from patients and families or direct them to the appropriate person.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
FTE: 0.8; 32 hours per week
Work Schedule: 630am-3pm; Required to work every other weekend.
Salary:
LPN starting rate at $30.41/hour. Base pay rate is based off previous LPN work experience.
RN starting rate at $39.21/hour. Base pay rate is based off previous RN work experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a LPN or RN with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Current CPR Card Certification
Union Position: Yes

Benefits are available for non-union staff working 24 hours (0.6 FTE) or union staff working 32 hours (0.8 FTE) per week and are effective the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
