What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Leader - Elementary position at Capitoland Children's Center?
This position starts Fall 2025. Some hours may be available beforehand working in our daycare or with elementary summer day camp. College students and retirees are encouraged to apply. We will work around your college schedules. Additional hours may be available working with our daycare kids as well.
Capitoland is seeking an energetic, motivated, and reliable leader to work with our elementary kids. This is a great leadership opportunity for someone wanting to go into a helping profession (teaching, psychology, counseling, nursing, etc.).
Ideal hours are noon to 6 pm, but there is some flexibility. Extra hours are available during school breaks.
During the school year, our leaders plan and execute engaging activities, help with homework, serve snack, and lead enrichment opportunities for kids in grades 4K through middle school. We have a large building, a large open area for indoor active games, three classrooms for breakouts, and 10 acres outside including a volleyball court, apple trees, football/soccer field, field, pond, large playground, basketball, etc.
