The Technical Program/Project Manager III – Mechanical Engineer reports to the Director, Facilities Management. This position is responsible for the planning, programming, project management, technical support, oversight, quality assurance, and tactical/strategic development of facility related initiatives and projects with an emphasis on mechanical engineering. Key types of projects will include new buildouts, renovations, tenant improvements, asset renewal/replacements, and other facilities related initiatives. This position is responsible for managing technical projects and initiatives referenced herein, adherence to the short and long-term agency capex and opex plan, participation in preparing annual capital and operating budgets, supporting and assisting staff members including other project managers, O&M personnel, and other admin and transit personnel, managing professional services and construction contracts, oversight of design consultants and contractors, professional and proactive communication, and internal and external coordination of work including meeting/exceeding expectations regarding the proper balance of cost, schedule, and quality.
