WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Data Warehouse Architect II is responsible for managing CapMetro's Data Warehouse and promoting its usage across the organization. The role will be responsible for the design, architecture, and development of the Data Warehouse to ensure that the data needs of the organization are consistently and accurately served.

- Work cross-functionally with various departments to evangelize and support enterprise data warehouse roadmap across the agency.
- Leads the evolution of the Data Warehouse Architecture, based on enterprise analytics needs and technical roadmap.
- Supports the data warehouse architecture, including all information structures such as staging area, data lake, data marts, and operational data stores. Ensures overall health and performance of the data warehouse environment.
- Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design. Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
- Manage metadata according to various ETL processes and perform tests on data. Resolve data warehouse issues.
- Designs, develops, tests, monitors, manages, and validates data warehouse activity, including data extraction, transformation, movement, loading, cleansing, and updating processes.
- Oversee master data management and ensure integrity of data in data warehouse.
- Document and maintain metadata for data warehouse and integrations. Develop user documentation and FAQ.
- Provide assistance with documents necessary to procure required systems, licenses, maintenance, and support. Ensure any renewals are completed before expiration and CapMetro is compliant with vendor licensing requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours IT support.
- Partner with stakeholders to undertake full IT ownership of the systems and projects assigned and become proficient in the technical and functional aspects of these systems.

As a Mobile position, the incumbent is expected to work in the office as needed. There will be access to touchdown / collaboration spaces when on site. Must be in-office for socialization, strategic collaboration, supervision, oversight, and accountability as needed. CapMetro reserves the right to modify work status based on business needs.
This position is based in Austin, Texas. Successful out-of-state candidates must relocate to the state of Texas prior to start date and may have the opportunity to work remotely anywhere in Texas after a specified period.
