CAPP, a leading supplier of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing parts & equipment, is looking for a hardworking leader to help manage our purchasing team.
What You’ll Do:
The right candidate will oversee the Purchasing Department and all sourcing for customer and inventory needs
Responsible to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, seek best possible contracts and find most profitable suppliers and vendors
Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Assess, manage and mitigate risks
Analyze data; use data to drive decision making, forecast, and work within budgets
Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Directly manages two or more employees in the Purchasing Department
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
Other duties may be assigned
Who You Are:
8 years of relevant experience
Prior experience managing $60m in spend per year
Proven experience with sourcing, negotiation and vendor management
Ability to gather and analyze data
Possess strong leadership skills and networking capabilities
Ability to effectively present information, respond and draw valid conclusions
Displays regular interest in market dynamics along with business sense
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
Proficiency with ERP systems
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration preferred
Previous experience in HVAC or related industry preferred
Proficiency with Google Suite
