Heavy Equipment Operator in Construction

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery and equipment to perform tasks. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.

The main duty of this position will be sub grading, spreading topsoil, and fine grading of new residential construction.

Duties:
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment.
- Perform tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, loading/unloading materials, and transporting equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.

- Ability to lead a small crew.

Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment. Must be competent on excavators and track skid loaders.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret grading plans and construction plans.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
