ABOUT THE Division
General description
The Texas Comptroller's Office is looking for an Asset and Contract Manager to join our Information Technology Division. This role will assist procuring the agency's software and hardware needs. The day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and managing projects through the Asset & Contract Management lifecycle and working closely with the requesting divisions, Budget, Legal, and the Contract Administration and Procurement divisions. You would be a great fit for this role if you work well in a fast-paced environment, works well with others, and adaptive to continuous changing circumstances.
Work Hours
Work hours are 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM, 40-hour week, Monday - Friday. Occasionally work additional hours on evenings, weekends or holidays. Hours may change based on business need.
Teleworking may be considered if certain working conditions are met. The candidate must have permanent residency within the state of Texas and must be able to meet in office requirements, which can vary among different sections (i.e., report to office 2 days / week, etc.) and additional days if requested. Travel reimbursements are not provided for teleworking.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five (5) years' experience in the development of Statements of Work, Asset Management, or Property Management with an emphasis on procuring or managing hardware or software assets and related services.
- Three (3) years' experience in contract administration, management, evaluation, or monitoring of contract providers.
- Experience in reviewing procurement or contract solicitation instruments (RFP, RFQ, RFO, and DIR Price Request (PR))

Certification as a CTCM / CSAM / CHAMP / CITAM must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

SUMMARY OF PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the incumbent to primarily perform sedentary office work; however, mobility (standing and walking) is routinely required to carry out some duties. It requires extensive computer, telephone and client / customer contact. The job also requires normal cognitive abilities requiring the ability to learn, recall, and apply certain practices and policies. It requires the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Marginal or corrected visual and auditory requirements are required for reading printed materials and computer screens and communicating with internal and external customers. Also, this position requires the incumbent must be able to ride elevator; must be able to carry laptop home for on-call duties, must be able to sit for hours at one time, must be able to work on a pc keying program changes as a repetitive function.
Employees are required to use their personal mobile phones as a part of 2 factor / multi factor authentication for accessing CPA systems securely. You will also receive critical / emergency calls / texts on your cell phone to ensure immediate communication.
