The Senior Director of IT Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and guiding the strategic operations and planning of the IT operations environment. This position involves performing highly advanced managerial work, including developing and executing the strategic vision, goals, and objectives for IT operations to align with organizational priorities and enable business success.

Key responsibilities include establishing and refining policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational excellence; setting priorities and performance metrics to measure and evaluate progress; coordinating and optimizing IT operations and related business functions; and managing budgets and resources within the division.

The Senior Director provides transformative leadership in a dynamic environment, driving innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services across the organization. This position supervises and mentors a diverse team of professionals, promoting collaboration and accountability.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related field. Equivalent IT leadership experience may substitute for the degree requirement, at a rate of one year of professional experience for each year of education.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in IT leadership, IT operations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading or working within IT operations teams supporting enterprise environments across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management and capacity planning, particularly in scaling IT operations within a growth-focused environment.
  • Solid experience in audit management, compliance, and information security, with a proven ability to ensure organizational adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
  • Strong background in recruiting, developing, and managing team members, with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience working across diverse lines of business, with a strong business acumen and the ability to align IT strategies with organizational priorities and operations.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Physical Requirements :

    This position requires the employee to primarily perform sedentary office work; however, mobility (moving around the worksite) is routinely required to carry out some duties. This position requires extensive computer, telephone and client / customer contact and communication. It requires the ability to move and position oneself as needed for filing and similar routine office duties. The job also requires normal cognitive abilities requiring the ability to learn, recall, and apply certain practices and policies. It requires the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Ability to read printed materials and computer screens. The individual must be able to move and transport records, documents, boxes, and all related information and materials, weighing up to 20 pounds when required.
