About The Division
As the administrative support team for the Texas Opioid Abatement Fund Council (OAFC), we support the mission of the Texas Opioid Abatement Fund Council Program to educate and increase awareness of the opioid abatement programs funded by the Council and provide administrative and operational services to the OAFC and support teams overseeing the distribution of funds.
Agency standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours. Hours are subject to change based upon business need or division determination.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Sixty semester hours in higher education. Graduation from high school or a Graduation Equivalency Diploma.
- Three years of experience providing direct administrative support to either mid-level managers, senior level managers and / or executive level managers.
- Three years of experience working with confidential information.
- Three years of experience using accepted business practices and procedures for providing administrative services.
- Three years of experience writing professional correspondence.
- Three years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows.

This position requires the incumbent to primarily perform sedentary office work; however, mobility is routinely required to carry out some duties. The job also requires normal cognitive abilities requiring the ability to learn, recall, and apply certain practices and policies. It requires the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Marginal or corrected visual and auditory requirements are required for reading printed materials and computer screens and communicating with internal and external customers. This position may involve moving up to 25 pounds of office equipment / material on a limited basis.
In this role you will :
Acts as division contract manager, purchasing liaison, and supply coordinator.
Acts as division travel coordinator and meeting support liaison.
Serves as the division liaison with Human Resources (HR) and training coordinator.
Serves as OAFC liaison for the business plan and business continuity operations plan.
Performs other special projects and / or duties as directed by division and agency management.
