General description
Join the Texas Comptroller's Office as a Tax Auditor Summer Intern! Work involves performing highly-complex (senior-level) clerical work. Student Interns assist professional staff in conducting tax audits at a fundamental level to determine legal compliance with State Tax Statutes and Administrative Rules and Regulations. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the Senior Tax Auditor or Supervisor.
Work Hours
Office hours are 8 hours a day, and may range between 7am to 6pm, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. May occasionally work evenings, weekends, or holidays. Hours may change based on business needs. Teleworking may be considered if certain conditions are met. Applicant will be required to work in the office up to 3 days per week (days may vary). The applicant may need to report to the office with little notice, as business necessitates. Travel reimbursements are not provided for teleworking.
