Capra's Utilities is a sewer, water and septic installation and repair business located in White Bear Lake, MN. We have been in business since 1989 and service the east metro Twin Cities. We are looking to add to our office staff to facilitate sewer, water and septic projects with our clients and crews.
Position Overview: As the Sewer, Water and Septic Office Specialist you are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating daily sewer, water and septic installation jobs.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure timely communication between various local municipalities and vendors.
- Request locates for each project prior to excavation.
- Apply for all city and county permits necessary for job completion.
- Coordinate any and all required city inspections.
- Coordinate and schedule all vendors and sub-contractors.
- Manage and order inventory.
- Complete as-built drawings.
- Communicate with the foreman to ensure the project is executed in a timely manner while monitoring quality and specifications of septic installation.
- Contact homeowners to confirm details of their project.
- Answer office phone in a friendly, customer service-oriented manner.
- Continue to review current procedures and propose changes for review and implementation.
- Conduct weekly team meetings for project review and safety standards.
- Responsibilities include handling telephone calls, scheduling appointments and relieving the department of administrative detail.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Strong project management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Compelling communicator with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including pleasant phone voice.
- Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment.
- High level of customer service when communicating with homeowners, staff and vendors.
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems including Excel, Word and QuickBooks and general software knowledge.
- Ability to read septic designs to interpret and speak fluently on the specifications of the project.
- Read and understand elevations and be able to stake out a septic system and locate septic from design.
- Current Septic Installers license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of sewer, water and septic systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of jobsite safety procedures.
- One or more years of experience as a sewer and water or septic designer, installer or inspector.
- Current Septic Design License
- Read and understand elevations and be able to stake out a septic system and locate septic from design.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
