SUMMARY
The Regional Lifestyle
Enrichment Specialist reports to the Director of Lifestyle Enrichment and is
responsible for overseeing and enhancing the lifestyle enrichment programs
across multiple senior living communities within a designated geographic
location.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide training, and support to local Life
Enrichment team members and other staff involved in resident engagement.
- Proficient in multiple digital platforms, such as
Facebook, Sagely, Canva, and ECP. Actively maintains and updates
Entertainment Database and other Life Enrichment resources.
- Assist in implementing Lifestyle Enrichment
programs, policies, and procedures across multiple senior living
communities.
- Support the Director of Lifestyle Enrichment by
conducting regular assessments of program effectiveness, resident
satisfaction, and overall engagement to ensure continuous improvement.
- Assess and implement wellness and fitness
initiatives across multiple senior living communities. Specialist seeks
out opportunities to strengthen the physical, emotional, and social
well-being of our residents.
- Lead, participate or attend activities functions
(on multiple shifts) frequently to assure that quality control measures
are maintained. May need to provide Life Enrichment coverage in
communities due to open positions, or other scenarios.
- Support local Life Enrichment team members with
recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer staff to assist with the
implementation of Lifestyle Enrichment programs on campus.
- Reports any Lifestyle Enrichment operational
concerns to Executive Director, Regional Director of Operations and
Director of Lifestyle Enrichment.
- Supports the Director of Lifestyle Enrichment in
the coordination and execution of offsite resident activities including
community trips, outings, and the Enjoy Life Adventure Series programs. Must
be comfortable driving the community bus when needed.
- Supports the Capri Communities organization in
the planning and execution of large-scale company events, such as Dream
Flights, Awards Programs, Enjoy Life Active Aging Symposium, and Company
Celebrations.
- Participates in continuing educational
opportunities for personal growth and development. Working with Director
of Lifestyle Enrichment and Director of Active Aging and Memory Care to maintain
networks with external organizations that specialize in memory impairment
issues or other Lifestyle Enrichment-based issues to stay informed on
current trends in programs and research.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct
supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate Degree in O.T., Therapeutic Recreation
Specialist or demonstrated experience as a Lifestyle Enrichment
Professional.
- Must have a minimum of four years of experience,
preferably in a resident activities program within a health care setting.
Management experience in direction/providing special care for persons with
dementia preferred.
- Must possess leadership
and teamwork ability.
- Consistently maintains high levels of activity;
sustaining long working hours when necessary. Operates with vigor, energy
and effectiveness over long periods of time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to
effectively deal with people at different organizational levels both
inside and outside the company. Ability to also communicate with and
respect the needs of the senior population.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a
courteous and helpful demeanor.
- Well developed problem solving skills and ability
to develop conceptual alternatives.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods
and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities
practices.
- Must be at least 21 years old to drive the
community vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
