What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Lease Accountant position at Capri Holdings Limited?

What You’ll Do:
- Support month-end and year-end close processes for leases and review reconciliations for related balance sheet accounts
- Perform accounting and reporting relating to the Company’s lease portfolio for fixed and variable rent, percentage rent calculations, tenant incentives, landlord reporting, etc.
- Prepare and review lease accounting schedules under ASC 842, maintaining global discount rates and ensuring that they are appropriately applied to lease agreements
- Review lease agreements for accounting implications under ASC 842
- Prepare reports to support all lease accounting disclosure requirements for the Company’s filings with the SEC
- Perform accounting for lease terminations and modifications, as well as sublease accounting
- Work with global teams to establish controls necessary to capture all new leases and lease modifications on a timely basis
- Prepare and maintain lease accounting policies and procedures, as well as participate in training of relevant finance personnel worldwide
- Support ad-hoc lease accounting-related requests and development of new functionalities and reporting capabilities within the Company’s CoStar lease accounting system
You’ll Need to Have:
- B.S. or above degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of professional experience, with public accounting experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
We’d Love to See:
- CPA preferred
- Accounting experience in the areas of lease accounting and restructuring a plus
- CoStar experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy
- Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
- Excellent time management, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong initiative and a process improvement mindset

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
