Key Responsibilities
- Assist speech and language therapists with non-instructional classroom duties such as supervising classroom routines and preparing materials.
- Deliver direct services to students as identified in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) under the supervision of a speech and language pathologist.
- Maintain records of therapy sessions and data collection/notes on target goals/objectives.
- Assist with preparing materials and scheduling activities as directed by the speech and language therapist.
- Maintain professional boundaries and ensure student/staff confidentiality as appropriate within the educational team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders.
- State Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
