This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office at our Middleton, WI office location. We may consider candidates for our Hartford, CT and Chicago, IL office locations.

CapSpecialty is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will design, implement and maintain the future technology systems for the company.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Profoundly technical thought leader guiding the team in infrastructure design, development and security concepts, policies, frameworks, and practices.
• Demonstrate experience in infrastructure with a nuanced understanding of virtualization, Cloud, storage concepts, application interoperability, and infrastructure concepts as a whole.
• Build and operate secure, reliable systems at scale.
• Demonstrate ability to innovate and automate infrastructure processes and functions through code, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the team.
• Design, develop, implement, and impart knowledge with operating Windows Server and Linux Server systems.

• Proficiency in Public Cloud (AWS/Azure) & Network Security
• Experience with Code Pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Strong technical expertise with Architecting Public Cloud solutions and processes.
• Strong technical expertise with Networking and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Services, or equivalent.
• 15 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering complex infrastructure systems.
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming concepts and relational databases is required.
• Strong experience with implementing and managing VMware infrastructure (including NSX, vSAN, vCenter, SRM).
• Experience with imparting knowledge of technical designs to broader team.
• Experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript and Java is helpful along with web-based design concepts.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift hardware weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to crawl under desks and walk up and down stairs.
