Position Overview: We are seeking a Construction Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in multifamily construction projects. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in construction management or related fields to learn from industry professionals and contribute to real-world projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers and site supervisors with day-to-day operations on construction sites.
- Participate in site inspections, safety meetings, and project progress reviews.
- Support the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
- Assist in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Help maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements and efficiency measures.
- Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support project teams.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree program in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of construction principles, techniques, and terminology preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
