Our client is hiring for Experienced Project Engineering Manager in the Nuclear Power industry.
Candidates MUST have a Professional Engineer (PE) License and experience working in a nuclear plant to be considered Position Description :
Our client is seeking a Project Engineering Manager for Nuclear Generating Stations in the Detroit / Chicago / Toledo area The role involves working as a liaison between clients and a team of Engineers / Designers on plant modification packages Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary representative for our client as a field liaison between the client and engineering team Provide engineering management and guidance to subordinate staff, enforce company / project policies Plan and manage work activities to ensure successful project execution while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence Work under the supervision of a Project Director or higher, providing project leadership in their area of responsibility Supervise and delegate tasks among staff Monitor daily activities and proactively identify project problems or opportunities, analyze issues, and develop optimal solutions Understand resources and capabilities of other groups for integration into project organization Clearly understand the scope of work and contract requirements relevant to their area of responsibility Support or conduct formal status reporting and presentations to clients and / or management Minimum Experience :
B.S. Engineering Degree from an accredited university in an Engineering Discipline Professional Engineering (PE) License in any state with the ability to obtain licensure in other states by Comity Experience working in a nuclear plant Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access at a nuclear power plant Must have strong skills in the following areas :
Written and oral communication skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multi-task environment Preferred Requirements :
M.S. in an Engineering discipline with a Power Focus Field experience / Walk-downs on power projects Electrical and / or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering background Experience preparing Engineering Design Modification Packages for Nuclear Power plants, including familiarity with : Nuclear Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-01)
