This position provides the opportunity for an experienced professional (2-5 years of relevant insurance experience) to join a high-growth risk management, insurance brokerage, and employee benefits advisory firm headquartered in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

Position: Account Executive or Senior Account Executive - Employee Benefits

You’re organized and know the art of building relationships with teammates, clients and vendors. This role performs a wide range of duties across planning, education, research and analysis for both existing and prospective clients. Using your impeccable communication skills and consistent work ethic, you will apply critical thinking skills, work independently and anticipate agency needs and client questions.
When you join us, we expect you to:
- Have obtained the PA Life, Accident & Health License
- Manage a book of business comprised of clients who are located both locally and nationally and are mostly fully-insured or level-funded, with the potential to take on some self-insured clients.
- Act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers and retain clients through a high level of customer service which includes open and clear communication channels to ensure accurate and timely responses.
- Identify problems, summarize, and develop strategic solutions with clients by incorporating the company's culture, mission and future staffing needs into our recommended strategic solutions.
- Respond to clients, insurance carriers, sales team, and supervisors’ correspondences and requests in a timely, effective, and professional manner using Microsoft Outlook.
- Research and present answers to directors, decision-makers, and client questions about their policies and coverage; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, & Life Insurance group policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on carrier products, guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes in order to make effective recommendations to clients.
- Prepare materials needed for client meetings including but not limited to open enrollment guides, sign-off sheets, proposals, spreadsheets, plan comparisons, financial summaries, etc.
- Have regular contact with and communicate deadlines, timelines, and expectations to decision-makers, HR, CFO, CEO, and employees of client groups, particularly around their annual renewal
- Process and submit requests from clients while working in various portals to complete such tasks as enrolling, terminating, and changing coverage for employees.
- Manage, submit, and follow-up with providers, hospitals, carriers, and/or vendors throughout the claims process.
- Use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel daily to prepare open enrollment materials, proposals, etc.
