Boutique B2B technology PR firm is hiring an ACCOUNT MANAGER who is equal parts strategic thinker, relationship builder, and team leader. In this role, you will be the driving force behind client relations, responsible for strategic leadership, proactive client insights, and guiding media relations—all while ensuring budgets are optimized and client goals are exceeded.
What You’ll Do:
Lead with Strategy & Insight
- Be the trusted advisor that clients want in the room, offering strategic perspectives and industry insights
- Foster strong relationships that drive long-term success
- Ensure your teams understand the “why” behind client objectives and how the firm adds value
Own Campaign Briefs & Drive Success
- Create and own client briefs, ensuring clarity in deliverables, priorities, and goals
- Work closely with the team to ensure seamless execution and alignment
- Oversee external vendor and freelancer engagements, optimizing resource allocation and managing budgets and ROI expectations
Lead Client & Internal Team Meetings
- Serve as the client’s voice, ensuring the team's work aligns with their goals and expectations
- Iterate clear plans, deadlines, and roadmaps to success
- Maintain accountability for quality and strategic direction
Take a Proactive Approach to Media Relations
- Stay engaged in media strategies and pitching activities
- Support the team with media outreach to maximize impact
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure media coverage aligns with client objectives
What You'll Have:
- 6 years of PR and corporate communications experience, specifically within B2B technology
- Agency and/or in-house corporate communications experience in the B2B space
- Strong background in strategic PR account management
- Natural collaborator who thrives on teamwork and cross-functional alignment
- Executive presence with the confidence to engage senior leadership effectively
- Proactive mindset with insight-driven recommendations
- Ability to seamlessly navigate client meetings, internal teams, and media strategy
- Experience supporting new business opportunities (i.e. research, responding to RFP's, creative brainstorming, developing presentations, etc.).
*All employees are required to be in the firm's Austin office 3 days/week. Fully remote candidates and those requiring relocation assistance will not be considered.
