The Assistant Construction Manager’s role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating, construction projects under the direct supervision of a construction manager. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated and driven to contribute to Capstone Homes’ goals and future success.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· General knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
· Experienced with basic industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
· Computer skills including Microsoft 365, Google, and construction management software.
· Knowledge of basic construction materials and methods.
· Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
· Ability to oversee the construction process at multiple job sites simultaneously.
· Ability to work with sensitive information.
· Ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Schedule trade partners and vendors to ensure timely starts and completion of all tasks under the supervision of the Construction Manager.
· Ensure trade partners are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.
· Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
· Ensure trade partners' compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
· Identify conflicts in the construction process and communicate them to the construction manager.
· Ensure trade partners have corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
· Communicate non-compliance to the Construction Manager regarding quality of work or scheduling.
· Ensure that the job site is always kept in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
· Walk each project daily and perform progress and completion lists using the TPTM software.
· Maintain a daily log of activities on the job site using TPTM software.
· Ensure all job sites are clean and clear of clutter daily.
· Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, as well as adherence to quality and safety standards.
· Receive and address calls from Trade Partners and vendors.
· All other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
