Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-million dollar IT projects from initiation to implementation, focusing on systems applications and infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with sponsors and product owners to define project vision, objectives, scope, and success criteria.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans covering installation, evaluation, and integration of IT software and hardware.
- Create detailed project schedules ensuring timely completion and alignment with objectives.
- Oversee vendor management—select vendors, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure product quality and compatibility.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, define user stories, establish acceptance criteria, and lead estimation and test strategy discussions.
- Identify and allocate project resources; onboard and assign team responsibilities.
- Track and report project progress against budgets and schedules using defined metrics.
- Mitigate project risks through proactive identification, analysis, and response strategies.
- Manage project budgets from planning through execution, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., NAESB) and maintain vendor partnerships for ongoing system support.
- Provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders and foster effective team collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field (or six years of equivalent experience)
- 6 years of IT or business experience
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar projects, particularly with systems applications.
- Strong vendor management experience.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Oracle Primavera).
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in complex environments.
