JOB SUMMARY:
This role will oversee the daily HR workflow for Capstone Warehouse Services (CWS) corporate and field operations, including compliance, associate and manager relations and training, with a particular focus on accuracy, productivity and process improvement. Supervise and support team of HR Coordinators/Generalists responsible for handling HR-related activities. Serve as valued partner to the field through cultivating relationships with site management and recommending solutions and new approaches that align with business goals and maximize workforce effectiveness.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise HR Coordinators and Generalists
- Set goals and performance targets for HR staff and provide constructive feedback to help achieve them
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct, guide and act as escalated point of contact for investigations and associate relations activities including conflict resolution, performance issues, disciplinary action and terminations
- Oversee ticketing system, hotline cases, leave of absences, and other HR activities. Develop service level metrics to measure and monitor progress
- Review internal HR SOPs/processes. Assess the efficiency of current HR activities to improve efficiency and decrease ‘busy work’ whenever possible
- Administer and advise on PTO and sick pay
- Understand and help others to interpret company policies and federal and state laws
- Provides support on benefits, performance management, and all things HR
- Handle special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
- 5 or more years of experience in Human Resources, ideally within large, rapidly changing organizations with a large field employee population
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience
- HR Certification preferred
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Effective communicator (verbal and written) that can present findings and gain agreement on recommended solutions and outcomes
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks effectively and to delegate when appropriate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Acts with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Strong excel and technical skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude toward new software
- Curious mindset with an interest in getting issues resolved and over the finish line
Physical requirements:
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or other office equipment, walking within facilities and offices and lifting up to 10 pounds, as needed.
