Job Description
This Warehouse Leadership role is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of increasing management responsibility in the distribution/transportation fields. As a Warehouse Leader, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities with associates, ensuring safety and productivity, and training new hires.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives
- Run site operations with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Create and manage daily work logs, and transmit them to corporate
- Audit daily labor and billing reports
- Evaluate customer needs and resolve any service or associate issues
- Train and develop warehouse associates
- Manage Site and Departmental budget
- Coordinate associate schedules and interviews
Requirements:
- 2 years of supervisory / leadership experience in an industrial setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
